The English drawer is especially well known in old secretaries or desks. Its special feature is that the front panel is lower than the actual drawer. The side panels have a curved milling to match the front panel.
The beauty of the English train hides in the wardrobe. The hardwoods used are beech, maple or oak. Only finely sanded, or additionally lacquered or oiled as a surface treatment - beauty has many forms of expression. So this English Train feels right at home in a wardrobe/laundry cupboard, for example.
Only when you open the cupboard do you see the English pull and the finger tine on the corners. And with the MoventoS full-extension runners, the English drawer pull also disappears back into the cabinet - beautifully softly damped by the self-closing action of the full-extension runners.
The wooden internal drawer with so many possibilities. With 13mm thick drawer sides, the wooden drawer manages to combine aesthetics and stability. Exactly to the millimetre in width, in depth to match the drawer runners and in height to match the finger joint, there are (almost) unlimited possibilities for configuring the English drawer. The sides of the wooden drawer are each 13mm thick, the drawer bottom has a thickness of 6mm
If you want the wooden interior drawer to disappear behind a furniture door, you have the problem that the door hinges are "in the way". The space of these hinges can be bridged with the help of the spacer strip(s). In the case of wide cupboards, 2 doors (double leaves) are fitted - then you also need 2 spacer bars. Please ALWAYS state your clear cabinet width, i.e. the measurement between the cabinet side walls, even if you require spacer strip(s) - we will adjust the drawer width accordingly. Is or are spacer strip(s) already available or do you want to make them yourself? If so, please inform us of this in addition to the clear cupboard dimensions - we need to know the number and the width dimension of the intended slats.
